Tyler Herland - Final Project
Tyler Herland - The Hit
==== This is an original composition called "The Hit" by my band Seph And The Nomads. The whole thing was recorded in my parents' basement using a massive audio interface. I handled all of the recording, mixing, and mastering of this track, as well as the performance of the rhythm guitars. The drums, bass, lead guitar, and vocals were performed by the rest of my band.
In the mixing process, I had to do some timing corrections of the different takes, as well as a ton of EQ'ing and compressing. Most tracks have a good amount of overdrive and reverb and/or delay as well to add drive and atmosphere. Some tracks even use vocoders, choruses, phaser, pitch shifters, etc. Needless to say a lot of effects were used in this composition to help create a complete rock song.
This song should be out on streaming platforms soon, so make sure to check out Seph And The Nomads. #Ad ====
