Kevin Neidhart - Checker Knights Arrangement

For my final project I propose to modify a MIDI file from a single piano voice to multiple voices with different instruments and effects. I have a collection of MIDI files that I will choose from to expand. I will take the music written for the piano and create a separate track for the various musical elements in the piece and use different instruments for each to make it sound like a digital ensemble. This project will give me experience creating a full composition and editing MIDI files. I already know how to assign different instruments to tracks and add effects and automation. I need to learn how to break a single MIDI track into multiple tracks for multiple instruments and how to insert additional parts. The deliverable will be an audio file suitable for listening to that will be interesting to people who listen to music on their computers.
