Hints of Utauloid
My name is Shae, and I created an original song that uses midi input, loops, and a voicebank. To do this, I used Ableton, OpenUtau, a voicebank from the internet, sounds and effects supplied by my trial version of Ableton, and my piano keyboard (and/or Musescore). I already understood: music theory, Ableton's features, anatomy of a typical song, masking, MIDI sequencing, notation. I had to learn how to use OpenUtau's software and how to automate. To learn these things, I relied on course material, YouTube tutorials, online posts, and my own experimentation. The final product, an audio recording, is intended to appeal toward fans of Vocaloid-esque music.
I ended up using can sounds because I couldn't stop thinking about energy drinks. The clock noises represent... yes, the passage of time...
