Summary

inspired by rjspain on instagram and his unconventional use of chopping guitar samples and using them in less than expected ways. I wanted to do something similar with guitar samples I recorded myself. To get the recordings I would need, I plugged my guitar amplifier which has speaker simulation software, into my Focusrite Audio Interface. The samples were all recorded and manipulated inside FL Studio 24. I got to work creating automated patches that would trigger on cue to manipulate the guitar samples in real time. Using a plugin known as Gross Beat, I was able to manipulate an audio buffer to play back in different ways, the audio it received.
