For my final project in MU3616, I decided to recreate and perform the synthesized intro to Baba O' Riley by The Who. This was accomplished by creating a Max patch that can trigger different note sequence loops layered on top of a continuous loop by clicking toggles with the mouse. I was then able to play the piano chords live in time with the loop on my MIDI controller. The note sequence loops and the MIDI controller input were assigned two different sounds by routing them through Ableton Live plugins on two different channels. I believe that any standard dad and classic rock enthusiasts, along with those interested in synthesizer sounds, will enjoy this project.
