For the final project for Foundations of Music Technology, I made an original, instrumental short song. I made the song with and electric guitar, effects, and a MIDI drum kit. There are noticeable verse, chorus, and bridge sections of the song, that repeat the same chord progression with different dynamics for the guitar. The drums build slightly but mainly function to keep a steady beat. I already knew how to play electric guitar and drums, but using technology for these instruments was a challenge even though I was confident in my music skills. Ableton and Audacity have taken some getting used to. Especially to get the tracks synced up to the same time signature so that they would mesh correctly. Below is a video describing the production in more detail, and further along is the recording.
