This gives way for the use of just about any digital control interface, Wiimotes®, keyboards, iPhones®, to be used as a composition and performance tool. Creating custom software is ideal for making applications that focus on a few musical skill sets for your users or for designing software to work with a specific control interface.

I chopped and screwed half of Yung Lean's 2018 album, Poison Ivy, in Ableton Live. The four songs out of the total 8 songs from the album that I chose were: happy feet, friday the 13th, silicon wings, and sauron. "Chopping" refers taking short clips from a song and reconfiguring the clips to manipulate the overall sound of the song; Chopping gives Chopping and Screwing a "glitchy" vibe. Screwing refers to slowing down the tempo of a song. I compressed each song before chopping and screwing as well as adding other effects. I experimented with automated audio effects at certain parts, such as Auto Filter, Phaser-Flanger, and Auto Pan on "friday the 13th".

I hope you enjoy.
