I've always loved playing the video game super smash brothers melee so I devoted my final project to it. I created piano parts that include notes from the original theme's melodies and harmonies; partly with my own playing and partly with MIDI notes that I put in and then also put a drum track in with it. I created several different MIDI Piano tracks and mapped them to the different pads on the AXIOM 49 controller. I then played my overall piano track and created a drum track over it. To do this, I created a custom drum kit with the components mapped to different keys on the controller. I then recorded the whole thing.
