For my final project for MU230X at WPI, I decided to create an mp3 soundtrack which was a fusion of western and eastern world musical instruments. I have no music background prior to the class and wanted to use musical software to create fusion music. The western music is mainly electro/techno while the eastern instruments are played in tandem with some western instruments. I selected instruments from countries like India, Turkey, China and and Jamaica. This was all done in garageband using the different loops the software has to offer. The deliverable is a 3:20 min long mp3 track which has been uploaded on soundcloud. | For my final project for MU230X at WPI, I decided to create an mp3 soundtrack which was a fusion of western and eastern world musical instruments.
