For my final project, I am creating an ambient electronic track in Ableton. Before this class, I knew very about music technology but I had a strong background in playing multiple instruments including guitar, upright bass, and mandolin. The skills I learned while working on this project were mainly composition and technical skills when using music technology in both Garageband and Ableton. I taught myself a lot about mixing a track so every instrument and sound can be heard in the mix. I also learned a lot about what effects suit which instruments and how to create unique sounding synths. My final project is in the form of an mp3.
