All of the instruments are midi (except for the electric guitar, which is actually my ukulele with a bunch of filters). I intend to record all of the midi instruments (horns, bass, keys, drums, etc) in due time, and re-record vocals on a better mic. There&#039;s also a solo section in the middle that I have yet to record a solo for since my current mic isn&#039;t that great. In terms of inspiration, almost every funk artist out there seems to have a song about funk itself, whether it&#039;s about how they&#039;ve got the funk, they&#039;re playing the funk, smelling the funk, praising the funk, even funking the funk, and so forth. So, my song, Can&#039;t Touch The Funk, is about how you, well, can&#039;t touch the funk. I drew inspiration from many foundational funk artists, modern and old, including James Brown, Bootsy Collins, Vulfpeck, Ghost Note, and more.</div>
