My name is Matthew Mahan and I have been making music for close to a year now. Music has always played a major role in my life and I have always wanted to contribute back to the local music scene. Over the past year I have been able to share my music with locals and have developed a small fan base. My goal is to significantly expand that fan base over this summer. I am opening at a show at Middle East Nightclub on June 12th this summer. I plan to release a full length project sometime in June. I also hope to do my first music video. For the file titled Kanye Sample, I composed a beat in Logic Pro X using a sample off of Kanye West's album Late Registration which came out in 2005. The sample is a chant from Skit #4. I have tried to find my own samples for beats in the past and I haven't had much success, but I am very happy with the way this came out. My favorite genre is hip-hop so I decided to stick with my roots and make a beat that I could listen to on a regular basis. -Matthew Mahan
