For the final project, I decided to create an electroswing remix of the Star Wars pieces "Imperial March" and "Cantina Band". I started by just figuring out the notes for the songs and writing them in a midi piano roll. Once I had the original songs down, I played around with them to figure out how I could edit and add notes to give the piece more of a swing feel. I constructed a rhythm and figured out how to fit the different melodies around it. Once I had the arrangement of everything down, I played around with using different software instruments and automation to give the piece a more unique feel. Finally, I equalized everything and added some compression effects to make everything sound more clean and tied together.
