Final Project Description
For my final project, I am going to use Garageband to make an upbeat, electronic composition that is easy to dance to. For project 3 I tried a more classic instrument approach, but It was somewhat difficult trying to align the MIDI tones and the audio instruments. Because of this, the different sections were clashing. For this project, I will have to learn how to avoid that. Hopefully, by going with a more electronic approach, I will be able to blend each section much more smoothly using almost entirely MIDI. I plan to be starting off light with a simple melody, then add the bass and upbeat tempo after a couple of measures. The main chorus will be the most energetic, while bridges and buildups will be used to enhance the chorus. From the earlier projects, I learned how to hold rhythms and alter the frequency of certain pitches to add to the composition. I feel confident I can continue to do so in the final project. After all the hard work, the end product should be a fun 2-minute Mp3 composition that a college student might hear at a party!
